OnePlus has addressed a small but noticeable typo on their latest smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 3. On the back of the device, where it should say "Made in China," it instead reads "Meda in China." It's a tiny mistake, but it's there, permanently engraved on the stainless steel backplate.

The company took to X to apologize for the error, calling it an "unintentional" slip-up. In their post, OnePlus humorously admitted, "Oops, we’ve meda mistake! 😅" They assured customers that the typo was totally unintentional and gave buyers two options. You can keep the watch as a unique, limited edition piece or return it for a replacement, no questions asked.

If you haven't picked one up yet but want to, OnePlus is working on refreshing their stock with corrected versions. They advised checking their website for the latest updates on availability. This move shows they’re taking the issue seriously, even if it’s just a small error.

This typo comes after a rocky history for OnePlus in the smartwatch market. Their first watch was slammed for software problems, and the second had a controversial design choice with its rotating crown. But this latest mistake feels minor in comparison. Some might even find it funny or worth keeping as a collectible. After all, how often do you get a smartwatch with a one-of-a-kind misprint?

Despite this little hiccup, early reviews suggest the OnePlus Watch 3 is a solid smartwatch. It’s a step up from their past efforts, showing the company is improving in this product category. So, whether you stick with the "Meda in China" version or wait for the fixed one, it looks like OnePlus is finally finding its footing with wearables. For now, this typo is just a quirky bump in the road.
